Steve Jobs: The Great Mind behind Apple (Essay Sample) Content: STEVE JOBS: THE FOUNDER OF APPLE INC.ByName:Course:Institution:Tutor:Date:Steve Jobs: The Great Mind behind Apple Steve Jobs, the head and co-founder of Apple Inc., was born on the 24th of February 1955 in San Francisco. (Markoff 2011, p.1) He was a great cum young innovator who made immense contributions and revolutionary changes to the mobile-computing, music and movie industries from his innovations. Steve Jobs, the visionary in the black turtleneck who co-founded Apple in a Silicon Valley garage built it into the world's leading tech company, remarked Brandon Griggs of CNN. (Griggs, 2011) As such, Steve become very famous and wealthy but his driving force lay in the motivation of the joy of his discoveries. (Imbimbo 2009, p.13) In 1974, Steve and Wozniak, his high school friend, brought into birth Apple Computers. He went ahead to invent new products which amazed many people. Among his major contributions were the iPod, iMac computers and iPhone. (Markoff 2011, p. 1) His products had major impacts to many industrial sectors. In 1984, we introduced the Macintosh. It did not just change Apple. It changed the whole industry. Remarked Steve. (Imbimbo 2009, p.8) However, Steve was not very active when it comes to philanthropy. (Whoriskey, 2011) Steve, unlike Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, refused to sign the Giving Pledge. (Whoriskey, 2011) Steve Jobs died on the 5th of October, 2011 succumbing to Cancer. (Markoff 2011, p.1) While offering his tribute to Steve, Choi Gee-Sung, the Chief Executive Officer South Koreas Samsun remarked "His innovative spirit and remarkable accomplishments will forever be remembered by people around the world."
